Assignment 1c

The two classmates I came across were Thida and Kendra. As for the two things about them, well Thida is originally from Los Angeles and loves the city life, but had had to move to the Sonoma area for her families restaurant business. Kendra is a mother of four and seems thrilled to have gotten all her classes online.
The two things I learned about Paulo Freire from reading Theda's blog are that the degree that Paulo had earned was a law degree and that he passed away on May 2, 1997 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The two things that I learned from Kendra's blog are pretty cool. By putting Paulo's theories to practice, 300 sugarcane workers were taught to read in 45 days. The second and equally cool thing I learned was that Paulo always denied that his familiarity with Marxism distanced him from his religion, which was Catholicism. I am a recovered catholic myself:) Can what I read from my classmates blog contribute to the classes study of humanities? Well, I think quite a bit. In this assignment we researched the same topic and returned mostly the same info, but think about it, we have in this class many people from many different walks of life gathered together and researching Paulo Freire that by itself has maybe opened several minds to new ideas and concepts
